Coming from a backround in music and photography Johannes Arolt studied architecture and landscape architecture at UdK Berlin, ETH Zürich and at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts Copenhagen graduating in 2016 with distinction. He received grants from the DAAD, the Margot und Paul Baumgarten-Stiftung, the IICS Cork and the RBMA.
Johannes worked with Éric Lapierre Experience Modersohn Freiesleben Trutz von Stuckrad Penner and Lorenzen Mayer. Since 2017 he works on his own projects from Berlin.
As a student he taught the 2nd-year design course with Prof. Jean-Philippe Vassal in 2012/13. Since 2020 he is teaching architectural design at the LU Hannover at the department Architecture in Context.
